Glossary Term
Team Lift Label
A safety warning label required for boxes weighing more than 50 lbs (22.5 kg) to alert warehouse staff that the package requires two people to lift.
Safety First for Heavy Shipments
Amazon has a strict weight limit for standard boxes: 50 lbs. If a box exceeds this, it MUST have a "Team Lift" label on the top and sides. For boxes over 100 lbs (UK) or 150 lbs (US), a "Mech Lift" label is required. Ignoring these rules is one of the fastest ways to get a "Shipment Performance Warning."
Avoiding Overweight Fines
Beyond the labels, Amazon will often fine you for shipping overweight boxes without prior approval. Always use a scale during your packing process and apply the "Team Lift" warning as a separate, high-contrast label to ensure it’s seen by the receiving team.
- Required on the top and all four sides of the carton.
- Standard size is usually 3x3 inches or larger.
- Essential for OSHA and warehouse safety compliance.
